Loyal Clients

It is hard to find a lot of loyalty out there when it comes to any kind of service.  Photography is no different.  Some people shop solely on price, others just like to change it up!  Well, I try to value relationships that I have built with people that provide me with great products and services.  As someone that provides a very emotional and personal service I think it is critical to do my best to make sure my clients are happy and keep them coming back.  Photography is a relationship business and if I am going to capture my clients at their best it really helps to know them.  Well, Tonia and Chris Flora from Baxter have been coming to me since their son Devin was very small.  Now they have a daughter Danika who I have also photographed.  We have done family pictures, kids pictures and even a large family group session.  I really look forward to them coming to see me and this last time we had a fantastic session.  I wanted to share a few pics from that session and let the Floras know how much I appreciate them!

 




 

Freezing a moment in time...

There is more to capturing the stages of your child's life than just school pictures.  Everybody always comments on how "time flies" and that you have to "cherish every moment" when you have a child because one day you will look up and they will be graduating and moving on.  Those statements are cliche but all too true.  By photographing your child at age 1 with birthday cake all over their face or dancing in their favorite tutu at age 5 we can hold on to their personality and innocence forever.  These are everything when we photograph a child.  What's the best way to get your child to be themselves in front of the camera?  Let them run free!  It is a scary concept, I know, but we like to keep it simple and easy when working with children.  We follow their lead and let them just be themselves.  We photographed a 2 year old girl at a park where there were streams and rocks and all sorts of fun natural things and by the end of the shoot she was knee deep in the creek and splashing water all over.  As you can imagine it brought the best smile and laughter out of her and made for some very special photos.  The experience should be fun and carefree for you and your child in order to get those once in a lifetime shots.  Some parents get pictures of their children taken every year and others maybe every 5 years.  No matter how often you do it, you need to do it!  Don't just settle for your average school portraits.  You want to be able to look back and remember your child at every stage of their life; messy, running, or just being silly.  Life is fleeting, why not stop time with a photograph every now and then?
